Elan Explore, 2016/17

Elan Explore

Also this winter Elan continues the model series "Explore" quasi as an affordable alternative to the Amphibio models for all-mountain skiers. New this year is the Dynaflex technology, which promises more power and easier turning. Those who want a classically built and more affordable all-mountain ski from Elan are best off looking at the Explore models.

Parabolic Rocker

The parabolic rocker profile with the rocker at the shovel and ski end shortens the effective edge length of the ski. The advantages are easier turn initiation and forgiveness of skiing errors.

Dynaflex

With Dynaflex technology, one area of the ski core is made of aluminum. This construction makes the ski stronger, more dynamic and lighter. The ski shows responsiveness and especially the swing out of the ski is easier.

Waveflex

The "Waveflex" concept developed by Elan is a wave-shaped top layer that simultaneously ensures that the flex remains soft on the one hand, but the torsional or rotational stiffness of the ski remains as high as possible, which improves the performance of the ski.

Dual wood core

The Dual Wood Core features two symmetrical wood struts on the outer sides of the ski core. This design improves power transmission and edge grip while keeping the ski easy to control.

Synflex core

A lightweight, synthetic core for optimal flex. Elan's Synflex core varies in density at different points along the length of the ski for many skill levels.

PST

A cap construction for greater lightness, combined with a sidewall, for maximum edge grip. Powerful yet playful when needed.

Full Power Cap

A particularly forgiving, lightweight and easy to ride design.

Mono TI

A titanium insert over the wood core increases torsional stiffness and reaction speed.

Fiberglass

Above or below the wood core, fiberglass optimizes the properties of the ski and provides a harmonious flex and good torsional stiffness.
