Dynastar Touring, 2015/2016

Dynastar Touring

Various types of touring are gathered under the category of touring: racers and sporty ambitious ski tourers can be found under the term as well as backcountry enthusiasts who are looking for untouched deep snow descents and classic ski tourers who are looking for seclusion in the mountain world. For different needs it touches different concepts. Dynastar offers 1-2 models for all areas of application. Accordingly, the models are different: sporty ski mountaineers need narrow and ultralight skis, backcountry enthusiasts rather wider skis and classic ski tourers the mixture of both. Dynastar has something for everyone in its portfolio.

Light

Dynastar touring skis are built very light. All the brand's expertise in lightweight construction is combined in these models, without any shortcomings in performance.

Paulownia wood core

Paulownia wood core reduces the weight of the ski by about 25%. Dynastar combines this wood with fiberglass developed by the racing department to ensure optimum ride and control.

CAP construction

The CAP construction consists of a fiberglass core, which makes the ski, lighter, more agile and more tolerant.

Sandwich

The ski is made in sandwich construction and has straight sidewalls for maximum precision and performance.

100% Carbon Fiber

Carbon fiber is ultra-light and torsionally stiff. Carbon fiber is suitable for a ski that should be very light, but provide the best grip properties and optimal control. That is why it is used in racing ski mountaineering.

Binding Reinforcement

The skis are reinforced at the level of the mounting zone for the bindings to comply with the standard ISO 8364. They are therefore compatible with any binding: alpine, touring, with insert, telemark - provided that standardized screws are used.

Powder Profile

Powder profile is a special geometry for skis for freeride skiing. It consists of a 5-point waist, which at the same time provides very good edge grip and high maneuverability on compact snow and in powder. The long rocker on the shovel provides very good carrying capacity and the slight rocker on the tail makes the ski playful, whatever the terrain.

Tip Rocker

The ski has only a moderate rocker on the shovel. The lift is moderate so that the ski maintains contact with the snow over the entire edge length. The ski turns more easily on the flat and is more tolerant in the turns.

Tip & Tail Rocker

Rocker with very progressive shovel limited in length and height and somewhat minimized at the end of the ski. The ski is more turn-friendly but retains its grip and performance in cut turns. The rocker also improves the buoyancy of the shovel on uneven terrain and in powder snow - an important feature for all-mountain skiing.
