Wimbledon 2015: Murray struggles through the first round

Today it was Andy Murray's turn to face the Kazakh Mikhail Kukushkin in his first match. The Scot, who is currently ranked 3rd in the ATP world rankings, was the clear favorite in the match. But Kukushkin, who is ranked 59th in the ATP world rankings, impressed in the second set when he was trailing 2:5 and then won four games and was close to winning the set at 6:5. Murray seemed unfocused, but the Kazakh impressed with strong returns. Visibly dissatisfied with his own performance, Murray still managed to take the second set. An early break in the third set made things clear for Murray, who won the match 6-4, 7-6, 6-4 after 2 hours and 11 minutes. The victory was a bit tough, but those who know Murray know that he always needs some time to warm up. In this sense, the favorite is as expected one round further with the goal of the final.
