Voluntary recall touring ski boot Fischer Travers CC

As part of ongoing quality assurance and service activities, Fischer Sports GmbH has determined that the TRAVERS CC (delivery from October 2018), after frequent use, cracking and, with continuous load, fractures of the carbon shaft can occur.

This is caused by the constantly high stress in ski mode. This generates high tensile forces that act in the mounting area of the ski/walk lever and can lead to the formation of cracks under continuous load. Once a crack has formed on the shaft, further cracks can form with continued loading and/or a crack can ultimately lead to complete breakage of the shaft. In the event of a sudden and unexpected breakage of the shaft, the user is at risk of falling and injury due to the reduced grip.

To eliminate this safety risk, Fischer is recalling all TRAVERS CC delivered to date from the market. Our high standards of quality and responsibility mean that we are proactively undertaking this recall in order to ensure the quality of our products in every respect and to rule out any possible safety risks.
