Vittoria announces a new partnership with Alpecin-Fenix. The team will ride on Vittoria cotton casing tires until 2022. Vittoria is pleased to announce Alpecin-Fenix as a new addition to the UCI Pro Tour sponsored teams. The Belgian team has decided to rely exclusively on Vittoria cotton carcass tires with Graphene for all races this season.
Alpecin-Fenix's goal is crystal clear: to become the most attractive cycling team in the world by competing and winning at the highest level. To achieve this goal, the team is taking a multidisciplinary approach to cycling - as it will compete in road, CX, MTB and (soon) gravel top competitions - which is also Vittoria's strategy.
For 2021, Alpecin-Fenix will focus on the upcoming spring and northern classics. In addition, the team will contest the three Grand Tours, with the Tour de France as the highlight. All riders have the goal of achieving performances and results at the highest level, being as competitive as possible and riding with an appealing and attractive style.
To achieve these goals, Alpecin-Fenix has chosen Vittoria as its exclusive tire partner until 2022. The athletes will ride on Vittoria road tires with top cotton casing, consisting of Graphene Corsa, Corsa Control and Corsa Speed. The Corsa is the tire model they will use more often due to its reliability and high performance in different conditions. The Corsa Control will be their choice for racing on cobbles and asphalt as it uses a thicker tread for increased puncture protection. The Corsa Speed will be the tire of choice for time trials as it uses a special graphene compound to maximize speed and a thinner tread to minimize weight. All three models use graphene-reinforced compounds and cotton carcasses, Vittoria's best road tire technologies that offer top performance in speed, grip and comfort.
