TransTirol BikeRally 2020: twice across the Dolomites

Friends of the TransTirol BikeRallye have something to look forward to in 2020. The only stage race in the Alps without timekeeping will take place twice this year. In June and September, motivated mountain bikers and e-bikers will meet to explore the routes in the South Tyrolean Dolomites, which have been specially signposted for the event, together with experienced guides. The focus is always on the fun of biking, the experience of nature, and community togetherness.

The TransTirol BikeRally is a stage race of a different kind. All participants receive start numbers and the atmosphere typical for races prevails. The difference, however, is that the race takes place without any time pressure. It is always about the fun of biking, experiencing nature and being together. The one or other stop in an alpine hut is also a natural part of it. Thus each of the five to six stages turns into a full-day experience among like-minded people. To ensure that the enjoyment factor is always maintained, there is a "Classic" and a "Challenge" tour on each of the two dates. So everyone can choose the route that suits them best. Martin Budweiser, chief guide of the TransTirol BikeRallye is already looking forward to the next date: "A sworn-in, international group that meets once a year to ride their mountain bikes through the Alps, combining fun and adventure. I'll be back in 2020 and can't wait already."

On the trail of the Kaiserjäger
The first TransTirol BikeRally 2020 will take place from June 28 to July 4. In 5 stages it goes through the heart of the Dolomites, which have been declared a World Heritage Site by UNESCO. As last year, the starting point is the South Tyrolean town of Villabassa. From there it goes via Cortina d'Ampezzo, Falcade, San Martino di Castrozza and the spa town of Levico Terme to the beautiful Lake Caldonazzo. Highlights of this tour are the rock towers of the Cinque Torri and the tour to the Strudelkopf with a view of the famous Three Peaks. The typical Italian valleys and villages of the southern Dolomites also offer wonderful views.

Highlights of the Dolomites
The second TransTirol BikeRally 2020 will take place from September 13 to 19. The 6 stages of this rally lead on the same route as last year from Villabassa in South Tyrol to the beautiful Lake Caldaro. Along the route, participants will pass through the towns of San Vigilio, Arabba, Moena and Nova Ponente. Highlights of the September tour include the Prato Piazza, the Armentara Meadows, the Sellaronda and the "signature trail" Carezza Trail.

Usual quality
Participants of the TransTirol BikeRallye can expect a top organization by the team of FunActive Tours. It is possible to either join one of the experienced MTB guides and be led through the various landscapes and over the different trails, or to set off on your own and use the signposting, route description and/or GPS data. In addition, luggage transfer, overnight accommodation as well as bike service will be provided during the tours. Finally, there will be a great closing party with a raffle.

With so many bike performances and Dolomite highlights, the TransTirol BikeRally 2020 is sure to be another unforgettable experience. You can register under www.transtirol-bikerallye.com
