Tragic ski accident of Michael Schumacher shakes the world

It sounds almost grotesque that the former Formula 1 driver and 7-time world champion, of all people, has suffered life-threatening injuries while skiing. The German ex-racing driver has risked his life on the race track umpteen times and is now fighting for his life with the consequences of an ordinary ski trip: really tragic! Currently we know so much at the hour that the German ex-racer was on Sunday, 29.12.2013, with a group of children in the French ski resort of Méribel. When the daughter of a friend fell, he went to her to help her back on her feet. As he took off, he left the marked area, went through a deep snow passage where he ran over a rock hidden by the snow, got stuck and fell unhappily, hitting his head full force on another rock. Due to the force of the impact, even the ski helmet broke in two. Only a few minutes after the accident, the first rescuers arrived. Michael Schumacher was still conscious at that time. A few minutes later, the rescue helicopter arrived to fly him to the regional hospital. However, the helicopter had to make an emergency landing after Schumacher collapsed during the flight in order to give him artificial respiration. Currently, the German ex-racing driver is in an artificial coma in the hospital in Grenoble, where a team of specialists is intensively caring for the prominent patient. Things are looking bad at the moment. Already two operations could and had to be carried out, in order to stop the life-threatening brain bleedings and to counteract the Schädel-Hirntrauma geeigenet. Now we have to wait and see, every hour of stability is almost good news.

As one could expect, numerous fans have already arrived to support their idol and the family. As you would expect, of course, a huge media throng has also arrived, drawing worldwide attention to the incident, but also allegedly hindering or impeding the work of the hospital.
