Thomas Dressen, profile

Thomas Dressen is the "rising star" in the German ski racer sky. He has appeared out of nowhere. Suddenly, a young German ski racer is making it onto the podium in downhill - something that hasn't happened for a long time. The Bavarian-born racer has been competing in the World Cup since the 15/16 season, but although his talent was evident as the 2015 German downhill champion, it took him two years to make his breakthrough in the World Cup. After a few good placings in the winter of 17/18, he completely unexpectedly takes the golden chamois at the most important downhill race of the year, the Hahnenkamm race in Kitzbühel: his victory hits like a bomb. Since this impressive victory, Thomas Dressen has been one of the best downhill racers in the world. Due to a fall in Beaver Creek at the beginning of the 18/19 season, he suffers a cruciate ligament tear and has to sit out the entire season. With the victory of the downhill race in Lake Louise on 30.11.2019, Thomas Dressen furiously celebrates his successful comeback in the 2019/20 season. Now one can be curious about his next top results.
