Hotel Eden Roc gets a new director

Simon Spiller is the new director of the Tschuggen Hotel Group's hotels in Ticino. The management of the Hotel Eden Roc and the Albergo Carcani in Ascona has been newly filled. Simon Spiller from Lucerne succeeds interim director Leo Maissen and will lead the fortunes of the two hotels from August 2019.

Ascona (May 10, 2019). After various stations in Asia, Africa and America, Simon Spiller took over the management of Brenner's Park-Hotel & Spa in Baden-Baden in 2015, where he will remain until the end of May 2019. After more than three very successful years, he looks forward to the new challenge within the Swiss hotel group: "I am very much looking forward to working directly on Lake Maggiore and to helping shape the further development of the two hotels," says Simon Spiller.

Spiller began his career as a hotelier by training as a chef at the Palace Hotel in Lucerne. He then attended the École hôtelière de Lausanne before holding various positions in international properties of renowned hotel groups such as Four Seasons or Raffles. In 2014, he returned to Switzerland and completed an EMBA in Finance & Management at the Université de Lausanne.

Simon Spiller (46) is married and has a five-year-old son. In his free time, he enjoys sports, for which the picturesque backdrop around Lake Maggiore is naturally ideal.

Leo Maissen, who took over the management of the Ticino hotels on an ad interim basis in January, is pleased to now hand over his duties to the capable hands of Simon Spiller. Maissen will return to Zurich to resume his position as Chief Development Officer of the Tschuggen Hotel Group.
