Ski test Dynastar Speed Master SL - I will not give it away again

Admittedly, today I usually ride all-mountain or freeride skis, perhaps because they are different and allow more than the alpine skis with which I grew up, apart from the fact that the wide slats are also somewhat trendy. But after riding this race ski from Dynastar, I experienced something I had rarely experienced before especially with a ski, the feeling of not wanting to give the ski away. What had happened?

In slightly gloomy weather and strong, biting gusts on the Lenzerheide Rothorn, whose icy cold almost froze the face, I unceremoniously started the ski test of the Dynastar Speed Master SL today. It is a racing ski with the technology of a World Cup ski, but not aligned to the FIS masses for the World Cup. A few days earlier I had tested the new React from Rossignol, the speed-friendly carver that wants to be ridden with traction.

Personally, I really liked the Speed Master SL right away, especially he was biting and grippy in the snow and showed on soft passages yet very smooth and confident, but on hard to icy places he grabbed, secured the momentum and made it possible for me to swing rhythmically virtually always. Above all, he proved his slalom skills on short turns, which are easily mastered with him. If it doesn't work now, it's definitely not the ski's fault. The ski makes you want more, it tempts you to explore your own limits and work on yourself. The ski offers fabulously good control, is swinging, light and powerful at the same time and also demands my commitment. Towards the valley station, I felt the burning in the upper and lower legs as with no other carver or all-mountain ski. The reason for this was not my weak condition, but rather that the ski gets everything out of you, because it's fun to swing faster and faster and controlled, to master every passage, every hill, every turn, every slope with athletic technique that you only realize when you arrive how much you have thrown yourself into the stuff. A terrific part that perfectly masters all passages. It can go fast, it can go slow, it can make long turns, it can make short turns. Above all, I am impressed by the joy of biting with which the Master virtually bites into the snow, its edge grip is simply exemplary.

Here you also understand that there are skiers who like to strap on a racing ski boot, which actually can not be comfortable, but the ski boots are once apart from the fact that they cause or can cause pain, the weak point in the system. Especially with the Master, you notice when the foot has even a little play in the ski boot, because control can be lost there. For me, that's the weak point. If I still improve this weak point, I can register in the ski squad, at least it feels that way after working the slopes with the part. Now I still have a difficult task ahead of me, I have to convince Dynastar that they have to let me have the ski, I just don't give it anymore, this is where real skiing joy begins. Is now finally awakened the racer in me?

Conclusion: The Dynastar Speed Master is a great slalom racing ski made for the slopes, which easily masters all positions and challenges the athlete in a fun and encouraging to ski better than ever. This ski can only be recommended, simply top class.
