Shelly-Ann Fraser-Pryce is the world's most successful 100 m runner with 5 world championship titles. At the age of 36, she should be old news by now, but that's not the case. At the upcoming World Championships in Budapest in August 2023, she is one of the crown favorites. She also runs successfully in the 200 m and is an important member of the 4 x 100 m relay team. In 2021, at the Diamond League in Lausanne, the Jamakan ran 10.60 seconds over 100 m, her best time and the second-fastest running time after the world record set by Florence Griffith-Joyner in 1988. In July, in Lucerne, she ran 10.82 seconds over the 100 m, well under the 11-second mark.
