Scarab jet boats

Jetboats are absolute, super-turny funmobiles on the water, which are powered by a jet engine. Jet engine propulsion means that the boat is driven by a jet of water ejected from the nozzles at the stern. Unlike a boat with a propulsion propeller at the stern, there is no risk of injury to swimmers or animals. Ultra-strong power, enormous acceleration and high maneuverability in the smallest space give the jet boat the driving experience of a jet ski.

The American shipyard Scarab is one of the largest manufacturers of jet boats and delivers an impressive range with a total of 4 basic models (165, 195, 215, 255) and 44 model variants. Scarab supporters rave that the Scarab is a fusion of a jet ski with an elegant sport boat. The maneuvering behavior is very sporty, as you would expect from a jet. Thus the Scarab turns forward and backward in full circles with a diameter of half a boat length. Steering from starboard to port and back is done within two seconds. The sporty runabouts also make a lot of noise, which is why Scarab jet boats tend to appeal to a younger target audience. The 165 line includes 4 models and 10 model variants in the 16 foot league, boats with a length of about 4.80 meters. This will be new to boating laymen, but boat lengths are readily given in terms of the English measure "foot" (equivalent to 30.48 cm). The 165 model offers a 150 hp jet engine, the 165 HO model offers a 250 hp engine plus additional grab handles, cup holders and a stereo sound system, and the 165 HO Impulse model offers cruise control and a swim platform mat in addition to the features of the 165 HO models.

195

The 195 line includes 3 models and 11 model variants with 19 feet, i.e. their length is 5.74 meters. For boat laymen this will be new, but boat lengths are given according to the English measure "feet" (equivalent to 30.48 cm). The 195 model is the typical family boat and features a 200 hp jet engine, high quality upholstery, a comfortable chair for the captain and a trailer with chrome wheels. The 195 HO model is equipped with a 250 hp engine and, in addition to the basic equipment, features grab handles, cup holders, reclining seats and a bimini top. The 195 HO Impulse model offers, in addition to the equipment of the 195 HO models, cruise control, a swim platform mat and a foldable wakeboard tower with bimini top.

For boat laymen this will be new, but ship lengths are given according to the English measure "feet" (equivalent to 30.48 cm). Model 215 offers 300 hp with two jet engines, high-quality upholstery, a comfortable chair for the captain and a trailer with chrome wheels. The 215 HO model has 400 or 500 hp (2×200 hp or 2×250 hp) and, in addition to the basic equipment, has grab handles, cup holders, reclining seats and a bimini top. The 215 HO Impuls model offers, in addition to the equipment of the 215 HO models, cruise control, a swim platform mat and a foldable wakeboard tower with bimini top. Lastly, the 215 HO Impuls Wake Edition model has been in the program since 2016. The model differs from the existing Impuls models by a different design, its own Wake Edition tower, racks for wakeboards and a digital speed control.

For boat laymen this will be new, but ship lengths are given according to the English measure "feet" (equivalent to 30.48 cm). The 255 model offers 300 hp with two jet engines, high-quality upholstery, a comfortable chair for the captain and a trailer with chrome wheels. It is joined by a changing cabin, cockpit table, grab handles, cup holders, cruise control and bow ladder. In addition to the comprehensive basic equipment, the 255 HO model has a more powerful engine with 400 or 500 hp (2×200 hp or 2×250 hp). The 255 HO Impulse model offers, in addition to the equipment of the 255 HO models, a foldable wakeboard tower with black bimini top. Lastly, the 255 HO Impuls Wake Edition model has been in the program since 2016. The model differs from the existing Impuls models by a different design, its own Wake Edition tower, racks for wakeboards and a digital speed control.
