Rossignol Freestyle, 2017/18

Rossignol Freestyle

The boards for the acrobats and playful have been slightly adapted to this winter, the model "Slat" has even disappeared and the range has been reduced from 5 to 4 models. The "Jib Tip" technology for low inertia during turns and the Extended Sidecut technology for full edge grip at high speeds are the right thing to give fun to TwinTip lovers.

Ski technology

Minicap sandwich

The ultra-strong construction appears with wood core, 30° sidewalls, fiberglass and high-tech laminates. The Mini Caps protect the ski tips and prevent damage with improved durability. The sidewalls are 30′ turned up, which improves swing weight and reduces overall ski weight for better edge grip and resistance.

Cap

ROSSITOP tip caps strengthen the ski, protect it against damage and make it more resistant with faster reaction.

Extended Sidecut

The longer waists extend beyond the point of contact where the tip and tail rocker begins, improving grip at high speeds while aiding maneuverability at slower speeds. As speeds increase and edge angles increase, the waists are used more, resulting in powerful full-length edge grip. At slower tempos and fewer upturns, the waists are less stressed for better maneuverability and ease.

Sidewall

Sidewall construction incorporates a layering principle of core material (wood, fiberglass, metal, etc.) and vertical sidewalls along the entire length of the ski to optimize edge grip, precision, balance and power.

Power Turn Rocker

The conventional high chamber through 90% of the ski length provides power and edge grip for explosive bite and lift. The fine rocker tip over the remaining 10%, delivers easier turn initiation and control.

Jib Tip

The shorter, rounded tip shapes reduce inertia during kuven and jumps, while the elastomer construction provides better rebound and shock absorption.

Wood core

Traditional wood core construction offers a natural blend of energy, liveliness and stability.
