Rossignol Famous, 2017/18

Rossignol Famous

Piste ladies

The "Famous" models were introduced only last winter, so parktisch everything remains the same, only the design and the choice of wood (poplar instead of Paulownia wood for the ski core) have changed somewhat. The skis are agile and light thanks to new "Prop Tip" technology. The Power Turn Rocker provides an advantageous swing release. The models are aimed at female skiers who are interested in carving on the slopes.

Ski technology

Minicap sandwich

The ultra-strong construction appears with wood core, 30° sidewalls, fiberglass and high-tech laminates. The Mini Caps protect the ski tips and prevent damage with improved durability. The sidewalls are 30′ turned up, which improves swing weight and reduces overall ski weight for better edge grip and resistance.

Power Turn Rocker

The Famous models are equipped with a Power Turn Rocker. The conventional high chamber through 90% of the ski length provides power and edge grip for explosive bite and lift. The fine rocker tip over the other 10% delivers easier turn initiation and control.

Poplar wood core

Poplar wood cores provide good weight distribution, cushioning and resiliency for a versatile blend of strength, agility and playfulness.

Prop Tip

Weight reduction of the ski tip and tail facilitates turn initiation and ensures maximum stability during the turn. Prop Tip. This honeycomb construction technology makes the ski more playful and at the same time more precise.

Cap

A somewhat simpler, but cheaper ski construction. ROSSITOP tip caps strengthen the ski, protect it against damage and make it more resistant with faster response.

Centered Sidecut

A shorter waist just under the boot combined with a unique beveled tip and tail. The deep radius under the boot provides edge grip and power where you need it, while the shorter lengths of the waist allow for easy and playful steering.

Sidewall

Sidewall construction incorporates a layering principle of core material (wood, fiberglass, metal, etc.) and vertical sidewalls along the entire length of the ski to optimize edge grip, precision, balance and power.
