Rossignol Experience 82 Ti - season 2021/22 - in test

Today's ski test of the model "Rossignol Experience 82 Ti, 21/22" was a very pleasant experience: it feels on the slopes like a Bentley on the road. Maximum ride comfort, sovereign driving feeling. If you want to glide elegantly and calmly over the slopes, even if they are bumpy, choppy or snowy, try the new Experience 82 Ti from Rossignol.

At the end of the ski season, you ideally test the next season's ski models right away. After I had tested the new Dynastar Speed 963 race ski the same day, switching from a race ski to an all-mountain ski was all the more exciting. Now it was time to test the new Experience 82 Ti from Rossignol.

Quite frankly, I wasn't expecting too much good after the great experience with the Dynastar race ski, especially since I remembered that Rossignol all-mountain skis used to be heavy and felt heavy on the outswing.

Note: A Bentley for the track
I was all the more surprised and relieved how easy it was to turn the new Experience 82 Ti. Already the first turns a great feeling. Especially in comparison with the race ski before, the all-mountain ski glides very elegantly over the slope and is easily coped with bumps and too much and too soft snow, which it can have in March like once even at altitude. A very sovereign and great driving experience is offered here. There is never any danger of canting. The ski is also much more forgiving than the race ski before. And there's something else you can feel: the ski requires less power, at least that was my impression. Especially on the length this makes a lot of difference and with my weight of 100 kg, which multiplies with speed due to inertia and gravity, you can feel very much how much pressure you have to absorb with your legs or not. Of course, you also pull longer turns with it than with a slalom racing ski, but that just also feels calmer.

Overall, I am thrilled and positively surprised that the all-mountain ski "Rossignol Experience 82 Ti" of the season 21/22 is so pleasant to ride. It feels as if it turns on its own and always lands safely at the finish. Smooth running, stable, grippy but not too much, you swing elegantly down the mountain. Not entirely innocent of this new attitude to life is the newly installed technology, explains to me Stefan Müller, sales manager of Rossignol. The shovel was lifted a little earlier compared to previous models. This "all-trail" profile dampens on the one hand. In addition, the combination of directional fibers with viscoelastic material in the shovel area provides absorption of vibrations and impacts. And the new All Trail Shape also positively influences turn initiation. It is these numerous small subtleties that turn a normal ski into a Bentley. Overall, this model can only be recommended, the driving pleasure is certain. It is aimed at skiers who like to have a pleasant all-rounder ski without having to meet eccentric demands. Anyone who wants to be confidently at home on hard and soft slopes is well served by this ski.
