Rossignol Essential: Rossignol turns green

The new Rossignol Essential model represents the French ski manufacturer's new approach to ecological and sustainable ski production. Rossignol has recognized the ecological warning signs of the time and is setting an example of what the entire international ski industry should follow.

Never before have the reports been as dramatic as they are today when it comes to the ecological state of the earth. Never before has the world had to contend with such incredible droughts, heat waves and flood disasters, which are seamlessly linked together. Climate change, or rather the climate catastrophe, has long since begun. As early as the 1970s, children at school were told that the Amazon jungle in Brazil had to be protected so that the climate and the health of the planet were preserved. But what have you done? Nothing except continually destroying healthy nature out of greed for profit. In the 80s, an incredible wave of pacifists and climate and nature conservationists swept across the world. Millions prayed for the preservation of nature and its preservation. What did it achieve? Not much. The greed for profit was and is greater than common sense, a sense of responsibility and consideration for all other people, cultures and nature. Reports have been made for decades and people's awareness of nature and the climate has certainly changed, but the overexploitation of nature continues without interruption. No, it goes even further. Now there are plans to overexploit other planets as resources on Earth are dwindling. This is the sheer madness that is perhaps necessary if humanity wants to continue to spread across the world and the universe.

But even in industry, managers are waking up, slowly but steadily. In the centuries and decades before that, we saw the chimneys smoking endlessly and blackening the sky with harmful exhaust gases without interruption, but today we drive more and more electric cars that no longer emit any exhaust gases into the air. The chimneys, if they still exist in this form, have massive filter systems that are intended to reduce pollutant emissions. Wherever possible, politicians and industry are trying to do everything they can to reduce the damage to nature caused by exhaust gases and other pollution. The rethinking has taken place and is being experienced every day. But that's not enough. You have to do more and you can do more. Especially in the production of consumer goods, you have to get away from this senseless throwaway mentality. People produce with materials that are hazardous and harmful to health and simply throw away what could not be sold and this to the detriment of the earth's lungs.

Rossignol Essential – the healthy ski for preserving nature

But here too you can change a lot if you want. Everyone can make their own contribution by not throwing away unnecessary things that others can still put to good use. And when selecting materials, more and more companies are focusing on using natural materials that grow renewable and do not unnecessarily burden nature. The production of the new Rossignol Essential starts right here. The Rossignol Essential is made from 77% recyclable materials such as wood, steel and aluminum. Another 12% of plastic and another 5% of fine wood come from the recycling industry and are returned to it. Only 6% of the ski ends up as waste. The ski consists of 34% recycled material and 39% organically grown material. From an ecological point of view, Rossignol is 7 times better than a standard ski. Isn't that an impressive feat to emulate?

Nature Carver

The Essential from Rossignol is currently one of the most natural carver skis in the world and is very popular. With a waist width of 69 mm, it is slim, sporty and designed for use on the slopes. The Titanal inserts ensure high stability and performance on the slopes. The “piste rocker” with 5% rocker bend at the tip of the ski, the narrow radii (11-14 m) and the low weight of the skis (1.8-1.95 kg/pair) make it easier to swing into the skis. The rectangular sidewall construction (Rectangular Full Sidewall) optimizes the edge grip of the ski and the oversized sidecut increases maneuverability and ski control. All in all, buyers of the Essentials will enjoy a piste ski with a natural look, an above-average ecological balance and a sporty, pleasant carving feeling on the piste. It's no wonder that the Essential enjoyed a high level of acceptance among skiers right from the start. The good piece is available in the lengths 155 cm, 160 cm, 167 cm and 172 cm for CHF 905.00 without binding or for CHF 1,160.00 with. If you want to buy the Rossignol Essential, you have to hurry because there are currently only a few pieces left.
