Ski technology
Paulownia wood core
The construction with an extremely resistant core of paulownia wood reduces the weight of the skis by 15 percent, making them more playful, lighter and more agile. This technology is aimed at touring fans looking for continuous performance both for the climb and the descent.
Central Sidewall Paulownia Wood Core
Paulownia wood offers a good compromise between weight and performance. The sidewalls transmit power directly underfoot. Excellent edge grip,
Traction and low weight characterize this all-terrain design.
Sandwich Construction, Rectangular Sidewall
Modern sandwich construction with wood core, vertical sidewalls, fiberglass and titanal or carbon reinforcements. The wood core gives the ski its character and feel for the snow. The rectangular structure allows better distribution of flexibility, and the vertical sidewalls provide direct and powerful edge grip. Edge grip, power, control.
Air Tip 2.0
The new reinforced 3D design Air Tip 2.0 is lighter and stronger and provides even more agility. Air Tip is a Rossignol patented technology in which the shovel has a honeycomb-like structure filled with air. This makes the shovel lighter and shifts the weight towards the center of the ski, which produces improved maneuverability and ease of turning.
Powder Turn Rocker
The Powder Turn Rocker is one of three types of rocker that Rossignol uses. The shovel and ski ends of 50% are equipped with rocker and 50% has classic preload under the ski binding. The strong rocker on the shovel provides the buoyancy iom deep snow, the rocker at the ski end for easier turning and better ride control.
Carbon Alloy Matrix
A new fabric that heralds a new era of highly efficient materials for the construction of skis. Carbon Alloy Matrix is a combination of carbon and basalt fibers. Carbon provides lift, lightness and good power transmission, basalt provides stability and impact absorption. The new fabric increases the performance, grip, precision, stability and maneuverability of the ski.
Sidewall
Sidewall construction incorporates a layering principle of core material (wood, fiberglass, metal, etc.) and vertical sidewalls along the entire length of the ski to optimize edge grip, precision, balance and power.
Free Vas
Perfect symbiosis of paulownia wood core and air-tip blade, provides smoothness and low vibration when switching from one type of snow to another and better control of the ski.
