Red Bull Cliff Diving 2020 canceled

Just a few days ago there was talk that individual events of the Red Bull Cliff Diving would be postponed and made up for and that individual competitions would be canceled. Now comes the sobering news that the organizer cancels all planned events in 2020. What a sh... will think many a fan.

In view of health concerns and on the advice of the authorities, the Red Bull Cliff Diving World Series season has been suspended for 2020. We trust that this decision will be understood and respected by all.

All efforts and energies are focused on an outstanding 2021 season, where both elite divers and young up-and-coming talents will once again thrill the masses with their breathtaking freefalls from heights of up to 27 meters.

We still hope to host a stand-alone event in Australia in recognition of our loyal fans and give the best divers on the planet a chance to showcase their superior acrobatic skills.

Red Bull Australia is doing everything in its power to be prepared to host the Sydney event in November 2020. The safety of the public, divers, crew and all others involved is the top priority and, together with the government's advice, will ultimately determine whether it is possible to do so closer to the date.

Athletes from 18 different nations, including reigning champions Rhiannan Iffland (AUS) and Gary Hunt (FRA), will take the world's oldest extreme sport to new heights in 2021 when the Red Bull Cliff Diving World Series returns stronger and ready to thrill fans around the world once again.
