Outdoor Trophy 2017

Dinner is served: 100 athletes, amateur athletes and world champions, will compete on August 12 in the extreme sports spectacle of the year!

Lingenau (August 1, 2017) The countdown is on - only eleven days until the extreme sports highlight of the year in the Bregenzerwald! On August 12, the outdoortrophy will take place, with the sports of mountain running, paragliding, white water kayaking and mountain biking one of the toughest team competitions in the world. No wonder that not only the Vorarlberg extreme sports fans are eagerly awaiting the spectacle!
Once again this year, the country will be graced by real extreme sports caliber: Mountain running world champion Petro Mamu from Eritrea wants to break his course record. Paragliding series winner and native of South Tyrol Lorenz Peer will demonstrate his skills, as will top Czech paraglider Jan Skrabalek. Among others, world champion Maks Franceskin (Slovenia), Kamil Mruzek (Czech Republic) and whitewater vice world champion Manuel Filzwieser (Austria) will compete in the floods of the Bregenzerache. In the final, extremely challenging mountain bike classification, for example, defending champion Juri Ragnoli, Italian champion in his own right, and Jiri Hudecek, the Czech champion in the individual time trial, will be pedaling.
In total, around 100 athletes take on the daunting challenge. In addition to the traditional team classification and the solo category for all-rounders who tackle all sports on their own, there is also the "outdoortrophy Single" for athletes who compete in the sport of their choice. Competition director Chris Alge: "We have prepared everything and will provide a worthy setting for the athletes on competition day with more than 180 helpers - we are all very excited."

Extreme sports party
The "Outdoornight" has been considered one of the best parties in the extreme sports scene for years. After all, after an incredibly challenging competition, it is also necessary to celebrate in a fitting manner: This year, the Ski Shoe Tennis Orchestra, the Tequila Sharks and DJ Fish will transform the High 5 on the Bregenzer Ache into a party area until the early hours of the morning.
