Head of marketing Baumann leaves EV Zug

Personnel change in the management
After more than five years with EV Zug, Marco Baumann, Head of Marketing & Sales and Member of the Executive Board, has decided to take on a new professional challenge at the end of the current season.

Marco Baumann will become the new Managing Director of the Tägerhard Sports and Recreation Center in Wettingen as of June 1, 2018. The "Tägi" will be completely rebuilt by November 2019 and will be run as an independent public limited company in the future. After more than 11 years in professional club marketing, it is a great opportunity for Marco Baumann to develop professionally and personally and to contribute his previous experience to a new challenge.

The decision was very difficult for Marco Baumann: "I have grown very fond of the EVZ and the whole team of employees. I am leaving an excellently managed club, but I am also very much looking forward to the challenge of my new job. I would like to thank everyone for the great cooperation and support over the past five years." Since November 2012, Marco Baumann has been in charge of Marketing & Sales at EVZ and has contributed significantly to its professionalization.

For Patrick Lengwiler, CEO of the EVZ, it is also a bitter loss: "Marco Baumann has done an outstanding job and has always prudently nurtured the many partnerships of the EVZ. Nevertheless, unfortunately nothing is as constant as change. I am happy for him that he has been given such an opportunity and wish him only the best."

Marco Baumann and the EVZ are parting on the best of terms and are jointly endeavoring to hand over the reins to the best possible new hands in an orderly manner. Accordingly, Marco Baumann will continue in the executive function until April 30, 2018. The recruitment process for the successor has been initiated. Patrick Lengwiler: "We are confident to find a new personality for the EVZ, who will continue the good work in the area of marketing & sales. For us, the focus here is on finding the right person for the EVZ for the coming years."
