Longines Conquest 1/100th St. Moritz

New elegant alpine ski watch

In the last printed issue of Sportguide Winter 4/2015, we presented the first Alpine Skiing watch from Longines. Now the Swiss watch brand is launching the second model. Longines is thus underlining its partnership and extensive involvement in St. Moritz's major sporting events with an exclusive watch designed especially for St. Moritz: the Conquest 1/100th St. Moritz.

Yellow and blue color accents on the hands, dial and altitude ring subtly recall the famous St. Moritz logo, which can also be found on the case back. Longines' demand for extreme precision has led to the development of an entirely new, unique quartz movement: the L440, developed exclusively for Longines by ETA. This new model features a microcontroller with flash memory that allows the watch to be instantly reset and intermediate times to be recorded. The stainless steel model, 41 mm in diameter, has a silver-colored dial that displays hours, minutes, a small seconds at 6 o'clock, as well as the date and additional chronograph functions: a central seconds hand, a 30-minute counter at 2 o'clock and a 12-hour counter at 10 o'clock. The crowning highlight is the yellow hand in the center, which shows the time to the hundredth of a second. The model is also equipped with a stainless steel bracelet and a folding clasp.
