K2 Skis 2016/17

Charger

Slope

Last year's "AMP" line has been given a new name, the sporty models for the hard slopes will run under the model name "Charger" in 2016/17. What has changed, in addition to the name and the design, is the technology, which has been further improved: Each Charger model has been equipped with Carbon Grid technology, in plain English, each model has additionally received a carbon grid structure to grant even more torsional stiffness and better edge grip. Even sportier, even more grip, even more glide.

iKonic / Konic

Allmountain men

This winter, K2 continues what started last winter. The iKonic/Konic models enter their second winter along with their specially developed Konic technology. Konic technology involves a special design of the ski core, which is lighter in the middle of the ski and denser and heavier on the outer sides, which improves stability, control and power transmission in the turn and improves turn initiation due to the lighter ski center. In this regard, the "iKonic" models have a wood core, while the "Konic" models have a composite core. K2 as a pioneer of all-mountain skis manages with the new technology to have the nose in front when it comes to ride quality with all-mountain skis.

Pinnacle & Pon2oon

Freeride men

When it comes to freeriding, the K2 brand is one of the first places to turn to find an excellent ski in this category. Last winter, K2 launched the Pinnacle line with three models that have a flat, elongated rocker on the shovel and tail of the ski. Excitingly, these models also feature the new Konic technology like the all-mountain models. Two models have a super-light composite core - NANOlite technology - from space technology with lower density, which facilitate the swing-in. In the side area, the strong wood core provides edge grip and stability. New in 2016/17 comes the model "Pinnacle 88", which due to its mass competes with all-mountain skis and can also be used well on soft slopes. The legendary Pon2oon for absolute powder cracks we also list here for the sake of completeness. All models look great, are equipped with cutting-edge technology and guarantee surfing through the powder with a high fun factor, what more do freeriders want!

Freeride Factory

Freeride men

Three massive freeride models are found in the Freeride Factory line, first and foremost the ultra-wide Powabunga, which produces strong surfing feelings even in waist-deep deep snow. A touch narrower, the Pettitor is aimed at deep snow cracks looking for the best floatation characteristics. New is the Marksman with the new asymmetrical shovel and ski tip and a captivating maneuverability in powder snow. K2 impressively proves its leadership position in the segment of freeride skis with its models.

Freestyle Factory

Park men

The three freestyle models from K2 are clearly aimed at applications in the park. The Poacher is the model that is suitable for icy park sessions and scores with high resistance and high responsiveness. The Sight is a precise pipe ski that cuts a fine figure on high walls and large lan dings. The Press is aimed at park beginners who will be happy about a little more pop and the cap construction that forgives more mistakes.

Backside

Tours men

K2 is also one of the leaders in the market for touring skis. The range includes two wide models for skiers who are primarily looking for downhill pleasure through untouched deep snow landscapes. The narrower the center width, the more the focus is on classic ski touring and climbing, rather than downhill. With sophisticated technologies K2 also knows how to reduce the weight of the skis, because the lighter the ski the better. A great look, strong performance, light weight and high quality technology make for great ski touring.

Luv

Piste ladies

The counterpart to the men's Charger models in the piste-oriented all-mountain segment are the two Luv models "Luv Machine" and "One Luv" in winter 2016/17. As the leading brand when it comes to all-mountain skis and rocker technology, K2 was quick to launch women's skis of equal quality, which are tailored to the female anatomy and are technologically on a par with those of men. Last winter's newly designed women's skis, the Channel Light Core, makes it clear that K2 places a lot of value on the highest technical level in women's skis as well. The Speed Rocker provides the sporty character. The two models are made for the racy female skier who is at home on the slopes. The skis are fast, precise and glide gracefully even on soft snow.

Luv Allmountain

Allmountain ladies

The motto of last winter "Bringing back the luv again" is continued this winter. All women's all-mountain models therefore contain the term "luv" in their name. Luv, of course, stands for love. As the leading brand when it comes to all-mountain skis and rocker technology, K2 has been quick to launch women's skis that are equally suited to women's anatomy and technologically on par with those of men. A new women's ski designed for last winter, the Channel Light Core, illustrates that K2 places a lot of emphasis on the highest level of technology in women's skis as well. The five models are designed for the versatile female skier who is at home both on the slopes and in the powder.

Freeride Women

Freeride ladies

Powder Ladys access this winter three beautiful freeride laths that are really technologically sophisticated. In particular, the Bioflex core developed for women, which this year is a combination of different types of wood and Nanolite material derived from space travel, makes a clear mark. The narrower the ski, the more it closes the gap with all-mountain skis, which is why the narrower skis are also used on the slopes. One thing is certain, however, with the models the ski ladies are really free.

Remedy Freeride

Freeride Ladies (Twin Tip)

The two models Remedy 112 and Remedy 102 are two wide freeride skis with twin tip geometry with strong resistance, strong sidewalls and insensitive top sheet, which make rides in deep snow a pleasure.

Freestyle Factory Women

Here, the Empress model is a distinct park model, the Missconduct model is at home in the park as well as in deep snow, and the Remedy 92 model is especially at home in pristine snow.
