Good news for all ski touring fans: Helly Hansen celebrates the 10th anniversary of the Odin collection, which has been relied on by the most ambitious mountain enthusiasts over the past years, with a high-performance ski touring collection for men and women. The new styles are based on feedback from brand ambassadors, athletes and professionals. New fabric technologies as well as well thought-out detail solutions such as a unique snow skirt with an optimized design that also works with a backpack on the back, as well as gender-specific cuts and details are specifically designed for ski touring and backcountry skiing and ensure increased comfort in a wide range of conditions - on the ascent and on the descent.

In Chamonix, France, "The Odin Mountain Journey" began when Helly Hansen's product and design team met with ski patrollers, ski guides and athletes to learn firsthand what details and features were most important in jackets and pants - from color and style to materials, pockets, knee reinforcements, zippers and hood adjustment. Helly Hansen then brought on board a specialist who brought his technical expertise and enthusiasm for optimizing new products and design innovations to the development process. Before the final collection was ready, however, the styles underwent numerous practical tests until everyone involved was satisfied with the final product. The result of the development work is impressive: four high-performance styles each for men and women that meet even the most demanding needs and requirements and guarantee a lot of fun in the powder snow.

The highlights of the collection are the Odin Mountain 3L Shell Jacket for men and the W Odin Mountain 3L Jacket for women and the matching (W) Odin Mountain 3L Shell Bib Pant. The three-layer Helly Tech® Professional fabric construction with microporous membrane and durable woven water repellent lining and C6 DWR coating provides perfect moisture management that works just as well in cold temperatures as it does in mild ones. The Odin Mountain Jacket is equipped with a Life Pocket™, which extends the battery life of electrical devices. A ski pass pocket and special provisions for helmet and backpack are also among the features. The (W) Odin Mountain Hybrid Softshell Jacket and the (W) Odin Mountain Hybrid Softshell Pant for men and women complete the high-performance ski touring set. A hybrid construction of windproof, breathable and elastic softshell materials with and without membrane provides increased comfort and performance without making deductions in weather protection. Jacket and pant made of the bi-elastic softshell fabric come with characteristics tailored to backcountry skiing: The jacket features a 3-point adjustable and helmet-compatible hood, as well as backpack- and harness-compatible pockets and an integrated RECCO rescue system. On the pants, the waistband can be individually adjusted, a YKK zipper on the thighs provides ventilation when it gets hot and the edges of the pants are reinforced.
