Canada's expert ski touring know-how
The fact that a Canadian ski brand specializes in touring skis is no coincidence. Canada's endless world of snow is well known, and not just among devotees of heli-skiing. The infrastructures for skiers in America and Canada are different from those in Europe. Many areas have not even been properly developed; here, untouched nature is the playground. Touring skiing is therefore an important part of the Canadian ski culture. For this reason, the Canadian ski manufacturer Genuine Guide Gear (G3), which has been producing touring and freeride skis since 1995, is a designated specialist for touring skis.
FINDr
For classic ski tourers
Magnetic coating, Canadian
The FINDr series is uncompromising in performance with a weight and features that ski mountaineers and ski tourers dream of. The FINDr features a magnetic base. The skis pull on each other on the base side and hold tightly together without the need for a strap to hold the skis together. This is incredibly helpful, especially in difficult terrain. This ski is built for precision in steep and technical terrain. To dampen the chatter of a full carbon fiber layup, the FINDr was the first model to use polyurethane sidewalls.
