Elan Worldcup: Sophisticated racing technologies

It's amazing what kind of sophisticated ski technologies the Slovenian ski manufacturer Elan develops to be able to compete at the top of the world.

With the arc-shaped construction through the ski (green stripe through the ski in the illustration on the left), the forces are better distributed, which provides improved edge grip and increased torsional stiffness (torsional rigidity) of the ski, making it even more stable and precise. These strengths are, of course, particularly important for racers.

Amphibio Rocker
Elan is the only major ski manufacturer to use a rocker on the outside of the shovel and tail of the ski. This makes the inside edge to 100% in the snow. The advantage: The con-cept to combine the strengths of the rocker, the easier turn initiation, with the strengths of the classic race ski without rocker, maximum edge grip, is the highlight of Elan.
