Slovenia is not Yugoslavia
Many inexperienced and unsuspecting customers and sellers in Switzerland associate the ski brand "Elan" with the bad image of the former Yugoslavia and the negative experiences with the refugees who came to Switzerland about 30 years ago. This is a serious mistake! It is human, but to err is also human. Not only does the country of Slovenia of today in no way resemble the Yugoslavia of yesteryear that many still have in their minds, but also the skis of the Elan brand are in various respects more creative and unique than one would ever suspect and even experience if one did not listen to these old "fears". The tiresome and false association of the Elan brand with a false image is costing the innovative brand image and customers. At the same time, Elan really does have an amazing amount to offer skiers. The Wingman line is the union of the Amphibio models and the freeride line Ripstick. The continuous wide shape makes it immediately clear that the models easily displace the snow, which leads to a surfer feeling on the slopes.
