Race
World Cup or Arrow Rocker
Elan's racing skis have undergone a significant overhaul compared to two or three years ago. Firstly, the World Cup range has been reduced to the essential models, making them clearer. Due to their dimensions specified by the FIS, they are clearly aimed at racers or skiers who can make such demands on themselves. The "normal" racing skis without FIS dimensions impress with their unique Arrow Rocker profile, which is based on a pre-stressed carbon plate that acts as an energy donor, and an arrow-shaped titanal insert that distributes the energy and provides strong edge pressure. Either way with these things you're going fast. Incidentally, for those who didn't guess it right off the bat, "SL" stands for slalom, "GS" for giant slalom; so the model names give away their intended use.
Amphibio
Allmountain for asymmetry friends
The "Amphibio" technology is unique and established in the market. Since their first appearance, the skis have made a real name for themselves thanks to their asymmetrically designed rocker on the outsides of the skis. In 2019/20, the line splits a bit, with the narrower models (73/76 mm) continuing under the Amphibio line. The wider models have undergone technological development and are making a new appearance in the Wingman line. The skis impress with their turning ability, speed and stability, which is why they are clearly aimed at piste skiers.
Wingman
The new Allmountain line 2019/20
As already mentioned with the Amphibio series, the wider Amphibio models (78-86 mm) have been transferred to the new Wingman series, because the rocker profile is still the proven Amphibio profile, but the Wingman models are also technologically different from the Amphibio models. In particular, technologies from the Ripstick models were used in the construction. This concerns in particular the carbon tubes that run through the core, making it lighter and providing good rebound. In addition, the new Wingman models have been provided with a lightweight shovel to take any possible inertia out of the ski and increase the turning pleasure. Overall, a new exciting line of skis from Elan has been created, aimed at all-mountain enthusiasts.
Ripstick
Freeride
The Ripstick models from Elan are well established in the market since they were introduced in 2016/17 as then new freeride models. Exciting about the slats is their special TNT technology, in which the lightweight Tubelite wood core in the area of the long shovels experience two large cutouts, which are filled with "Vapor Tips" consisting of composite. This naturally makes the large shovel much lighter and significantly reduces the inertia of the shovel during the turn, making the ski much more agile in powder. Unlike before, the skis feature an Amphibio rocker and, as before, carbon tubes that run through the wood core, making the ski lighter and showing better rebound. With center widths between 88 and 116 mm, you have the choice of staying more on the slopes or surfing through deep snow.

Ibex
Tours ski
In contrast to previous years, Elan carries its touring skis under the uniform name "Ibex" - the English word Ibex means "ibex". Ibex are known to be climbing artists in the mountains and in the mountains. Elan's models are supposed to be one as well thanks to the built-in carbon topsheet that repels snow and makes the ski more torsionally stiff, thanks to stabilizing Vapor inserts and lightweight Tubelite wood core with carbon tubes. A special model has been designed for women. But the bird shoots the model "Ibex Tactix", which makes a splash as a foldable ski and no longer bothers when carried on the back. The idea is not entirely new, but at the moment I do not know which ski brand still offers such a ski.

Black Edition
The cool 4
Under the Black Edition, four existing models of the current Elan ski collection are offered in a unique design, which have been "refined" in isolated cases by the additional installation of a carbon insert. The series includes the popular Amphibio model, two Ripstick models and the women's Insomnia model. Those looking for something special can find it here.

W Studio slope
Versatile ladies palette
Among this range are 5 models aimed at the ladies who love to hit the slopes. The models differ in their sportiness and construction. The model "Speed Magic" is based on the Arrow Rocker concept of racing skis and is aimed at ladies who are looking for speed. The other four models are based on the Amphibio rocker technology and are light rocker skis oriented towards the slopes with more or less mid-width to increase sportiness or powder ability. All of them are aimed at slope ladies!
W Studio Freeride
Ripstick W
With the freeride models for women we conclude the Elan ski range 2019/20. Technologically, the women's models are hardly inferior to the men's freeride models in anything, but they are never quite as wide, but with center widths between 88 and 102 mm, the ladies have just as much the choice of skiing more on the slopes or rather seeking adventure in deep snow.
