Dynastar Touring Mythic, 2018/2019

Dynastar Touring Mythic 2018/19

Last winter, Dynastar touring skis were brought under one roof. Now the range has been further expanded. Under the new "Touring Mythic" line, there are two professional models on the one hand and three Mythic models for friends of untouched deep snow landscapes on the other.

Ski technologies

Cell & Paulownia wood core

The vertical DYNACELL and PAULOWNIA strips, developed for lightweight free touring skis, allow a featherweight core construction for the ultimate mix of ultra-light energy, shock absorption and stability. DYNACELL technology, known from aeronautics, is a gas-filled, closed PVC structure with an excellent stability-to-weight ratio for more energy, ultra-light shock absorption and stability. Paulownia wood cores are typically 25% lighter than common wood cores.

Paulownia wood core

Paulownia wood core reduces the weight of the ski by about 25%. Dynastar combines this wood with fiberglass developed by the racing department to ensure optimum ride and control.

Tip Rocker

The ski has only a moderate rocker on the shovel. The lift is moderate so that the ski maintains contact with the snow over the entire edge length. The ski turns more easily on the flat and is more tolerant in the turns.

TIP and TAIL Rocker

with preload under the binding facilitates turn initiation, allows playful turning and lift without energy loss, shock absorption and an edge grip for a trustworthy performance in all terrain and snow conditions.

Full Sidewall

The FULL SIDEWALL construction has a vertical sidewall along the entire length of the ski to provide optimal edge grip, precision, balance and performance.

Sandwich

The ski is made in sandwich construction, in which the ski core (usually wood, rarely foam) is pressed together in the middle with overlying and underlying layers of various materials (fiberglass, fiberglass, carbon, titanal, etc.) to form a ski. Vertical sidewalls are used along the entire length of the ski. This construction guarantees optimal edge grip, balance and good power transmission.

Carbon Ply

After several years of research, Dynastar has developed a new generation of carbon fiber that will be incorporated into its touring skis. The ultra-light diagonal C-PLY carbon fabric is designed for the high-performance touring skis and is specifically tuned to the width of the ski by allowing the glass fibers to expand and contract for a soft, balanced flex with feather-light hardness and grip.
