Davos expects the Challenge League sailors this weekend

On August 24-25, 2019, the autumn tour of the Swiss Sailing League will start in Davos with the event for the 2nd division, the Swiss Sailing Challenge League. The aim for the 12 participating club teams from all parts of Switzerland is to consolidate and, if possible, improve their positions in the intermediate rankings.

On the manageable Davos Lake, the Davos Sailing and Surfing Club DSSC organizes the two-day sailing regatta. The spectators can witness the sailing racing close up from the shore and from Bachi's lido.

Races in the Challenge League are always very exciting, as the positioning decides on promotion to the Super League or relegation to the Promotion League.

At the moment the clubs from ZYC (Zürcher Yacht Club), SVT (Segelvereinigung Thalwil) and CVN (Cercle de Voile de Neuchâtel) are leading the intermediate ranking. These positions will probably be disputed in Davos by the teams from Lucerne, Spiez and Vevey, while the currently last-placed teams from Kreuzlingen, Bottighofen and Zug will do everything to improve their positions.

The races can also be followed live online on a smartphone or computer at: https://swiss-sailing-league.ch/regattadaten-2019/davos/.

After the event in Davos, the "tour" goes to Zurich, where the 3rd round of the Super League is scheduled at the Zürcher Segel Club from September 7-8. From September 13-15, the Challenge League finals will take place in Spiez, where the final reckoning for promotion to the Super League or relegation to the Promotion League will then take place.
