Dakar 2023 watch: a crazy piece

We are not a specialist magazine for watches. So if you're expecting a technical report on the "Predator 2.0 3 Hands Dakar" from the Swiss luxury watch brand "Rebellion Timepieces," you'll be disappointed. Rather, I "drove by" the good piece myself while researching the Dakar Rally 2023 and discovered the watch and the watch brand by chance or thanks to the Dakar. The design of the watch really fits excellently into the environment of the wild Dakar. With a diameter of 48 mm, the watch is quite masculine. Anti-reflective crystal sapphire crystal, Black titanium with carbon-colored look, 48-hour power reserve, waterproof to 50 meters, Sand-colored textile on rubber-like leather strap, Velcro closure with black DLC titanium buckle: these are some features of this watch. Certainly suitable and appropriate for such a rally. Especially the power reserve of 48 hours will impress many a watch owner. But the price of CHF 24'900.00 is not without either. This is not a watch for the masses. This is upper class. And that's nothing, because the brand offers extravagant pieces to well-heeled customers, even for CHF 100'000 or 150'000 a piece. The brand is top, its pieces are exceptional and unique, but one would wish for a worldwide event like the Dakar Rally a watch in a price segment that is affordable for significantly more buyers worldwide than currently available. Perhaps the brand will consider a more affordable model for another year.
