The whole world is affected by the public health crisis associated with COVID-19. To ensure the health and safety of all those involved in the organization of the tournament, the French Tennis Federation has decided to hold the 2020 edition of Roland-Garros from September 20 to October 4, 2020.

Although no one can predict what the situation will be on May 18, due to the current restriction measures, we cannot proceed with our preparations and therefore we will not be able to hold the tournament on the originally planned dates.

In order to act responsibly and protect the health of its employees, service providers and suppliers during the organization period, FFT has chosen the only option that allows it to maintain the 2020 edition of the tournament while joining the fight against COVID-19.

At this important stage in its history, and given that the tournament can take place at this time due to the progress made in the modernization of the stadium, the FFT was very keen to keep the tournament in 2020. Therefore, this year's Roland-Garros will be held from September 20 to October 4.
