Bosch eBike Systems and MAGURA launch joint venture

Bosch eBike Systems and MAGURA today announced a closer cooperation in the area of service and spare parts distribution. Bosch eBike Systems is taking a 50 percent stake in MAGURA Bike Parts, a subsidiary of MAGURA. The newly formed joint venture will operate under the name MAGURA Bosch Parts & Services GmbH & Co. KG. The merger is subject to approval by the relevant competition authorities. The parties have agreed not to disclose financial details.

"It is an important part of the Bosch eBike Systems business model to offer excellent service to the specialist bicycle trade. For this purpose, we already had an important partner at our side in MAGURA Bike Parts in recent years. The joint venture is now the next step in strategically strengthening and expanding our service offering for the main eBike markets in Europe in the long term," says Armin Harttig, Head of Sales and Service at Bosch eBike Systems.

"The joint venture is a sensible continuation of our long-standing cooperation with Bosch eBike Systems. Synergies for the growth markets of bicycles and eBikes can be used even better to not only meet current and future market requirements, but also to drive innovations and further expand our existing service business and develop it in the long term," says Fabian Auch, shareholder of MAGURA.

The business activities of MAGURA Bosch Parts & Services GmbH & Co. KG continues to consist of service and spare parts sales for MAGURA products, for Bosch eBike Systems components, and for third-party products in the bicycle and motorcycle industry. The headquarters of the joint venture with currently around 90 employees is Bad Urach.
