At the 2022 World Championships in Athletics in Eugene, Oregon, USA, Swedish pole vaulter Armand Duplantis set a new world record for the second time. After creating a world record with a jump over 6.17 m on 8.02.2020 and just this spring setting this record with a new record height of 6.20 m, the Swede not only took the World Championships gold medal on 24.07.2022, but also crowned it with a new world record, clearing the new record height of 6.21 m in the pole vault.
