World record 100 m hurdles women 2022

At the 2022 World Athletics Championships in Eugene, Oregon, USA, Nigerian hurdler Tobi Amusan set a new world record in the 100m hurdles with a time of 12.12 seconds in the first of three semifinal heats on July 24, 2022. In the final race on the same evening, the 25-year-old Nigerian went one better and won the gold medal with a new best time of 12.06 seconds. However, this time does not count as a world record because a tailwind of 2.5 m/second prevailed - but for a world record the mark of 2 m/s tailwind must not be exceeded.
