ASSOS Equipe RSR Bib Shorts S9
Characteristic
We developed this design holistically from scratch and finally ended up with the 160 gram lightweight Equipe RSR bib shorts S9 - the lightest, most comfortable bib shorts that have ever left our ASSOS textile lab.
To create bib shorts that deliver the highest possible performance, we had to rethink the concept as a whole and eliminate the components that did not contribute to our primary goal. Our primary goal in doing so was to reach the yet unachieved level where speed and absolute comfort become one. Mission accomplished. Allow me to introduce to you. The Equipe RSR bib shorts S9.
Technology
zeroWaist
An open-edged finish with sealed seams, making it arguably the smoothest transition between body and material. More comfort, less feeling of pressure
30% less seams
Flatter and fewer seams overall have been used throughout the model, making it more comfortable and with less weight (160g RSR)
Type. 701 compressor (RSR)
High compression, super lightweight woven and very elastic: the result is smooth comfort, flowing speed and perfect fit
Ultralight Leg Grippers
The new Lycra/polyester structure of the leg cuffs naturally hugs their thighs - free of silicone - for a supple, ultra-light hold
zeroWaist
Type.701 compressor (RSR)
30% less seams

Carbon XBib
rollable RS
ergoBox
Butterfly Pattern
Carbon XBib
A single section consisting of elastic material folded over itself to form a supportive A-shaped frame with coordinated vertical elasticity
rollable (RS)
ASSOS patented stabilizing design with straps causes a secure fit of the insert without slipping when cornering or pedaling in the saddle
ergoBox
A square pattern that effectively frames the cushion at the back for added stability
Butterfly Pattern
The largest section of fabric hugs the lower back as well as the legs and converges at the back. The small number of seams promises a more uniform support, less weight as well as improved comfort.
goldenGate
A patented process technique that interrupts the seams on the two side inserts, allowing three-dimensional freedom of movement in this sensitive area that is always in motion.
superAir microShock foam 8mm
A lightweight, open-cell foam made from a shock-absorbing compound that returns to its original position and fills the gap every time your riding position changes due to weight shift in the saddle.
goldenGate
superAir microShock foam 8 mm
craterCooler
goldenGate
craterCooler
A system of small holes on the front that promote air exchange so that the sensitive areas of the body are cooled.
Horizontal Stabilizer
A patented, centrally located mesh that secures the back of the pad to the outer material, preventing slippage while riding
Surface reduction
The footprint of the pad has been reduced compared to other Equipe Evo designs to save excess weight.
3D waffle
A patented, three-layer perforated foam that increases breathability and eliminates excess weight.
S9 Basalt
Microfiber antibacterial coating in a gray color palette (basalt).
