The canton of Graubünden initially did not interpret these requirements from the federal government correctly and informed the ski resorts in Graubünden that skiing operations may still continue on weekends. Due to this directive, Arosa recorded many arrivals of guests who wanted to enjoy the last two days of skiing. On Friday evening, the canton then frantically corrected the situation and informed the ski resorts that they had to cease operations immediately.

Frustrated and stunned by the misinterpretation of the canton of Graubünden, many tourist destinations had to update their communication channels during the night and make preparations to inform their guests. Thousands of disappointed guests now made their way back home on Saturday. However, Arosa Tourism did not want its guests to leave like this. On Saturday morning, the team stood on the only road leaving Arosa. The team, dressed in Arosa clothes, gave each departing guest a farewell gift. By noon there were already 2500 large Schoggibears as well as fresh Arosa water and a friendly smile, with the hint that they should always come back summer. The action put a smile on the faces of many guests. Gratitude, words of praise and even tears in the eyes were received by the employees of Arosa Tourism.
