Amplid Time Machine 2019/20

Time Machine - Allmountain

Time Machine

The model "Time Machine" is the only all-mountain ski of the Amplid brand. A virtually classic shape and the bias profile ensure that the giant slalom ski is primarily at home on the slopes, where it shines with agility and precision. Thanks to its high average width of 90 mm, it also masters soft passages and powder snow without much effort, but it is not a deep snow crack.

Letting the local racing squad eat dust is just one reason for the Time Machine. Designed for the combination of responsive handling and reliable grip, the Time Machine also offers plenty of character.

Amplid's proprietary Antiphase Dampening technology makes the Time Machine a smooth and predictable partner at high speeds. When there's nothing going on on the slopes, it can be skied like a giant slalom ski, where every turn feels like it's on rails.

Even if its natural terrain is the piste, 90mm of width underfoot and a generous shape of the tips also allow it to plow through the sidecountry. Of course, it's not a powder ski, but for deep snow fun within the area, the Time Machine does great.

Ski technologies

Antiphase

An advanced composite damping technology developed by Amplid itself that reduces unwanted vibrations for a smoother and more controlled ride.

All Terrain Tips

A consistent tread radius and fuller tip outline improve deep snow lift without increasing swing weight.

Multi Radius Sidecut

By blending different radii in the sidecut, Amplid engineers can optimize the behavior of a ski in different phases of a turn. Exciting and predictable, these sidecuts love speed!

Nukeproof Roundtop

Botox for your skis: to protect the top sheet from aging, our last ski construction offers the best solution against scratches and impacts: Thanks to our 3D mold, the PE film is welded to the sidewall over a small radius.

Omni Core

This super lightweight wood core is the industry standard for lightweight, durable and versatile performance. We've tweaked this core so many times over the years that there's nothing left to improve.

Triaxial glass

Amplid uses triaxial glass on most skis for increased torsional stiffness, which in layman's terms means more grip and response.
